	CACCI President Ambassador Benedicto Yujuico told delegates attending the First Asia Pacific Chambers Congress (APCC) in Kunshan, China that, in order to help their members meet the challenges of globalization and at the same time take advantage of the opportunities it offers, chambers of commerce must provide services that will enable their constituencies to expand beyond their territories and reach out into the global market.

	President Yujuico to Visit Mongolia in August

	FICCI Signs Joint Business Council Agreement with Qatar CCI
	The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) on April 9, 2012 signed an agreement on the establishment of a Joint Business Council (JBC). The Agreement was signed by FICCI President Mr. R. V. Kanoria and QCCI Chairman Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Al Thani.

	Water Availability Becoming an Area of Concern for Industries, FICCI Survey Shows
	A survey conducted recently bu the Federatin of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) show that the water demand for the industrial sector is on a rise and will account for 8.5 and 10.1 per cent of the total freshwater abstraction in 2025 and 2050 respectively. This is a 4 per cent rise from the current level of 6 per cent of the total freshwater abstraction by the industries in 2010.

	The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has announced that the Youth Business Sri Lanka programme was launched in Anuradhapura on 17 November 2011 to coincide with the opening of the new office premises of the Anuradhapura District Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.

	The International Investors Conference will be held at the Pearl Continental in Bhurban, Pakistan on December 9-11, 2011. 	The 16th Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka – Australia – New Zealand Business Council (SLANZBC) of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce was held recently. The event was graced by Mme. Sonya Koppe, Deputy High Commissioner for Australia in Sri Lanka. The Council was renamed as the Sri Lanka – Australia - New Zealand Business Council at the Annual General Meeting of the Council held on July 31, 2001.

	Mr. Harin Malwatte, Secretary General of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) has announced that the CCC will co-host the Asia Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum (APTFF) 2012 in Sri Lanka with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for the Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). 	The Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) on 20 April 2011 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin) in Jakarta to open the way for closer economic cooperation.

	CACCI members can now view and download pictures of the 25th CACCI Conference held in Istanbul, Turkey, on March 6-8, 2011 from CACCI FTP server. 	CACCI is soliciting donations from CACCI members for the Rehabilitation Fund that the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) is setting up to provide support to the growing relief efforts for the victims of the devastating earthquake and tsunami that recently hit Japan. Any amount members can give to alleviate the suffering of those who have been adversely affected by the catastrophe – and the aftershocks that continue to rattle the nation - would be most appreciated.

	As the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (CCIRF) is becoming actively involved in the young entrepreneurship movement in Russia, the CCIRF is eager to found the federation of the young entrepreneurs organization that would unite all young businessmen associations countrywide. Thus, the CCIRF would like to obtain feedback from CACCI members on their experience in promoting youth entrepreneurship and in setting up the young entrepreneurs organization:
