CACCI undertakes, among others, the following activities in order to achieve its objectives:
Annual Conferences - CACCI holds Annual Conferences to discuss regional economic cooperation measures and to distill and crystallize business viewpoints and ideas with the aim of achieving economic cooperation and development in the region. These events provide members the opportunity to meet and acquaint themselves with other business leaders for confidence building and business contacts.
Liaison with Government Bodies - CACCI liaises, through its members, with government bodies concerned in the promotion of laws and regulations conducive to regional economic cooperation, and submits to relevant regional and international bodies position papers articulating its views on current trade and investment issues of concern to the business sector.
Information Exchange - As part of its Information Exchange Program, CACCI publishes the CACCI Profile, its official newsletter, once a month, as well as the Journal of Commerce and Industry, a bi-annual publication which features papers, speeches and other articles pertaining to issues affecting the regional economy.
Interaction Through Product and Service Councils - CACCI encourages, through its various Product and Service Councils, personal contacts among businessmen of the region. Product and Service Councils refer to regional business groupings organized along product and service lines which aim to promote business cooperation, personal contacts and technology transfer. Meetings of these groupings serve as a market place for business matching activities and as a forum for solving common problems of those in the same lines of business or service.
Linkages with International and Regional Organizations - CACCI collaborates with other international and regional organizations working for the economic progress of the region and the world. These include the United Nations and its various agencies, the International Chamber of Commerce, the World Chambers Federation, the Eurochambers, the World Trade Organization, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, the ASEAN Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and the SAARC CCI, among others.
Training Programs - CACCI conducts, either by itself or in cooperation with other organizations and other member chambers, training programs to improve the management structure and services of member chambers and their local constituencies.
Preparation of Special Studies and Researches - CACCI carries out, through the Secretariat or other reputable research institutions, special studies and researches in various fields of economic activities to help solve problems affecting regional cooperation, to advocate positions on certain issues, or to develop projects designed to promote and achieve the objectives of CACCI.
