	CACCI Chamber Leaders Address Key Strategic Issues at Summit Meeting in Taipei

	Select Members are Recognized for Their Continued Strong Commitment to CACCI

	Amb. Yujuico Leads Successful Presidential Visit to Nepal

	Foreign Investors Are Encouraged To Explore the Mongolian Market
	To encourage foreign investments in Mongolia, the Ulaanbaatar Trade and Economic Representative Office in Taipei, jointly with The Foreign Investment and Foreign Trade Agency of Mongolia, hosted the “Roundtable on Introduction to the Investment Opportunities in Mongolia” on July 11, 2011 at the World Trade Center Exhibition Hall in Taipei, Taiwan. The Roundtable attracted more than 50 participants from the business community in Taiwan.

	ACCI Welcomes Export Market Development Grant Support
	The Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Australia’s largest industry representative group, has welcomed the Australian government’s decision to continue the Export Market Development Grants (EMDG) Scheme.

	CACCI cordially invites members to the 26th CACCI Conference, which will be held on September 6 - 7, 2012 in Kathmandu, Nepal, with the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) as host organization.

	CACCI members are invited to participate in the Nepal International Trade Fair (NITF 2012) to be held in Kathmandu, Nepal on 5-9 April 2011. Organized by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce & Supplies, Government of Nepal, the Conference aims to give a global platform to the Nepalese SMEs and create new opportunities for them.

	CACCI is pleased to announce the launching of the maiden issue of the Asian Textiles and Garments Council (ATGC) Newsletter.

	The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has announced that the Youth Business Sri Lanka programme was launched in Anuradhapura on 17 November 2011 to coincide with the opening of the new office premises of the Anuradhapura District Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.

	The International Investors Conference will be held at the Pearl Continental in Bhurban, Pakistan on December 9-11, 2011. Organized by the Board of Investment, Government of Pakistan in collaboration with the Federation of the Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), the Conference aims to further expose Pakistan to international investors in the sectors of Energy, Mines and Minerals, Agriculture and Livestock, and Infrastructure and Construction.

	The 16th Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka – Australia – New Zealand Business Council (SLANZBC) of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce was held recently. The event was graced by Mme. Sonya Koppe, Deputy High Commissioner for Australia in Sri Lanka. The Council was renamed as the Sri Lanka – Australia - New Zealand Business Council at the Annual General Meeting of the Council held on July 31, 2001.

	Mr. Harin Malwatte, Secretary General of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) has announced that the CCC will co-host the Asia Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum (APTFF) 2012 in Sri Lanka with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for the Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Mr. Malwatte made this announcement at the APTFF held in Seoul, Korea recently.

	CACCI members are invited by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL) to participate in the 3rd Jaffna International Trade Fair 2012 (JITF 2012) to be held on 20-23 January 2012 in Jaffna (City Central), Sri Lanka.

	Turkish manufacturers of sourcherry juice concentrate are looking for international supply sources of this fruit juice as this year’s crop of sourcherry in Turkey is inadequate to meet its market demand. Thus, CACCI members are requested to contact the following company for a possible business tie-up if you are in this field.

	CACCI members are requested to contact the Bangladesh Organic Products Manufacturers Association, a member of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry, for any inquiry about Bangladeshi food products.

	Kumar Mallimaratchi, with immediate effect, has replaced Tissa Jayaweera as the President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL). Prior to the promotion, Mr. Mallimaratchi was Senior Vice President at FCCISL.

	The year 2011 marks the 45th anniversary of the Conferederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) since its establishment in 1966. To commemorate this important milestone, the CACCI Secretariat would like to issue a Special Commemorative Publication that will highlight some of the major accomplishments of the Confederation and its members.

	The Singapore Business Federation is inviting CACCI Members to attend the GES Business Leaders Summit 2011, which will take place in Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore, on 17-20 October 2011. GES 2011 is the foremost business leaders event in Asia on global trends, innovation and growth strategies.

	CACCI is inviting members to join CACCI President Ambassador Benedicto Yujuico in his planned visits to Nepal and Pakistan in early September 2011. Participation in the Nepal visit will give members the opportunity to gather first-hand information on the business situation in the host country, and meet government officials and business leaders. 	The Federation of GCC Chambers of Commerce & Industry is inviting CACCI members to the 2nd AgroExpo 2011, which is scheduled to be held in Muscat, Oman on November October 30 – November 1, 2011. The event will be attended by local, regional and international companies, specializing in the agro food industry and livestock to promote their high-tech products and equipment to the GCC public.

	CACCI President Ambassador Benedicto Yujuico is visiting Nepal and Pakistan in September 2011 and would like to invite CACCI members to join him for the trip. The Presidential visits to Nepal and Pakistan are proposed to cover three days each, and tentatively scheduled as follows:

	As part of CACCI’s effort to further strengthen its Product and Service Councils (PSCs), CACCI is now in the process of beefing up their membership by inviting more of our CACCI constituencies to take an active part in the PSC activities. CACCI requests you to kindly identify representatives from your Chamber who may be able to make a significant contribution to the work of each of its PSCs.

	CACCI is currently preparing for the next issue of the Tourism Newsletter which we hope to publish shortly and is requesting CACCI members to contribute articles to be included in the Newsletter. Suggested topics include the recent trends and development in the travel and tourism sectors in your respective countries, your country's tourism development plans and tourism sector personalities, among others.

	The Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) on 20 April 2011 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin) in Jakarta to open the way for closer economic cooperation.

	CACCI is soliciting donations from CACCI members for the Rehabilitation Fund that the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) is setting up to provide support to the growing relief efforts for the victims of the devastating earthquake and tsunami that recently hit Japan. Any amount members can give to alleviate the suffering of those who have been adversely affected by the catastrophe – and the aftershocks that continue to rattle the nation - would be most appreciated.

	As the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (CCIRF) is becoming actively involved in the young entrepreneurship movement in Russia, the CCIRF is eager to found the federation of the young entrepreneurs organization that would unite all young businessmen associations countrywide. Thus, the CCIRF would like to obtain feedback from CACCI members on their experience in promoting youth entrepreneurship and in setting up the young entrepreneurs organization:
