  Amb. Yujuico leads successful visit to Japan  
  CACCI President Amb. Benedicto Yujuico led a 21-member delegation to Japan for a two-day visit from April 16 to 17, 2013. The delegation was composed of chamber representatives from four CACCI member countries ‒ three from the Philippines, five from Pakistan, ten from Sri Lanka, and three from Taiwan.  
 
 
  Sendai City imparts experiences, lessons after March 2011 disaster  
  Assistant Senior Director Post-Disaster Bureau Mr. Jun Umenai gave a presentation on the current state of reconstruction of Sendai City, during the first day of the CACCI presidential visit to Japan on April 16, 2013.  
 
 
 
  Sendai aims to attract new businesses  
  Speaking during the CACCI presidential visit, Assistant Senior Director of Economic Affairs Bureau Mr. Gen Amano briefed the delegates on Sendai City’s Industry Promotion Policy.  
 
 
  Sendai CCI meets with CACCI delegation  
  The Sendai Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a lunch meeting for the CACCI delegation at Sendai Shozankan. The CACCI visitors were warmly received by the key officers and members of the Sendai CCI led by Chairman Mr. Hiroshi Kamata.  
 
 
 
  JCCI promises continued support to CACCI  
  The CACCI delegation took the Shinkansen train from Sendai City to Tokyo for a courtesy call on Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) Chairman Mr. Tadashi Okamura.  
 
 
  CACCI visits Toshiba Museum  
  On the morning of April 17, the CACCI delegation visited the Toshiba Science Museum where they were received by its Director Mr. Junji Nakayama and other key officers of the museum. The visit started with welcome remarks by Mr. Nakayama, followed by a brief video presentation introducing the museum.  
 
 
 
  CACCI tours Honda Research Institute  
  The CACCI delegation stopped by Honda Company on the afternoon of April 17, where they were treated to a presentation of ASIMO, the world’s most advanced humanoid robot made by Honda.  
 
 
  CACCI conducts workshop in Sri Lanka and Vietnam  
  CACCI successfully conducted a two-day workshop on Documentary Credits and International Contract of Sale in Colombo, Sri Lanka on March 21-22; in Hanoi on March 26-27; and in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on March 29-30.  
 
 
 
  ICC and CCOIC to host series of conferences  
  Following the success of the 1st World Business Leaders Conference (WBLC) held in Beijing last year, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) will be hosting the 2nd WBLC and Asia Pacific Chambers Congress (APCC) on May 15, 2013 in Jiangsu Province, China.  
 
 
  PCCI hosts 50-man delegation from China  
  The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the largest umbrella organization representing the country’s businesses and trade industry associations, hosted a 50-man delegation of business executives from the China Council for the Promotion of Trade (CCPIT) for an investment forum and business networking sessions.  
 
 
 
  ACCI launches “Small Business. Too Big to Ignore” campaign  
  More then 600 people running small and medium businesses took hours away from their businesses to come together in Sydney on April 10, 2013 and start a mainstream mobilization campaign to make themselves heard this federal election year and beyond.

  Chamber of Commerce and Industry West Australia (CCI WA) has recently launched InvestMatch, a new online service that connects Western Australian companies seeking equity capital with foreign investors.

  Philippine President Benigno Aquino III in a keynote message delivered by Sec. Jose Rene Almendras, Secretary to the Cabinet of the Philippines, during the 27th CACCI Conference held in Cebu City, on March 14-15, 2013, called on foreign investors to explore and take advantage of business opportunities in Cebu.  
 
 
  CACCI Council approves proposed amendment on number of VPs  
  The CACCI Council on its 82nd Council Meeting has approved the proposed amendment of the CACCI Constitution by setting the total number of CACCI Vice Presidents to such a figure that may be prescribed by the council.  
 
 
 
  Pradeep Shrestha named addt’l CACCI VP  
  Mr. Pradeep Kumar Shrestha, former president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) was named as an additional vice president of CACCI during the 82nd CACCI Council Meeting held in Cebu City, Philippines. Shrestha’s election came following the Council’s approval of the constitutional amendment setting the number of CACCI vice presidents at a flexible figure as prescribed by the Council.  
 
 
  CACCI welcomes 20 new lifetime special members  
  CACCI Council admitted 20 new lifetime special members ‒ two from Georgia, three from Nepal, ten from Pakistan, three from Hong Kong, and one each from the Philippines and Taiwan ‒ during the 82nd Council Meeting on March 15, 2013.  
 
 
 
  Kuala Lumpur and New Delhi venues of the next CACCI Conferences  
  The 28th CACCI Conference will be held in Kuala Lumpur next year, as agreed upon by the CACCI Council during its 82nd meeting on March 15. The Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) will be the host, with the support of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM).  
 
 
  CACCI Council endorses policy paper on ensuring food security  
  The CACCI Council during its 82nd meeting endorsed a policy paper that highlights actions to address the massive challenge of ensuring food security for nine billion people in the year 2050.  
 
 
 
  Ajara CCI is CACCI’s new affiliate member  
  CACCI has recently approved the application for affiliate membership of Ajara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), one of the most influential business organizations in Georgia.

  Amb. Yujuico Leads Seven-Country Delegation to Myanmar  
  CACCI President Amb. Benedicto Yujuico successfully led a CACCI delegation to Yangon, Myanmar for a three-day visit from January 22 to 24, 2013. With 42 participants from seven countries, the Myanmar visit was the most well-attended among the Presidential visits to date.
